No doubt, there is more like a race among countries when it comes to exploring the outer world. However, this field often gains notoriety because (IELTS with Ramandeep Singh) of heavy investment and many believe such investigation must be discontinued. I personally however do not agree to this idea to a great extent. This essay will examine the arguments for and against this viewpoint.
To begin, the most convincing argument to support space exploration is to find solutions to some of the unanswered questions. Needless to say, human is exploiting the resources on planet earth be it water, land, fossil fuels, forest and others. The pace at which these (IELTS with Ramandeep Singh) resources are being used the day is not too far when there will be an acute dearth of most of these resources and human survival on this planet would be at risk. This is perhaps the reason why scientists are trying to find an extra-terrestrial body with possibility of life to fulfil our needs. In addition, this research is not only confined to exploring the space but it is also making our life on this planet comfortable. For example, our mobile connectivity, global position system, weather forecasting, television broadcasting and many other services which have become a part and parcel of our lives are in existence just because of the satellites deployed in space.
Nevertheless, I tend to believe there are some negative aspects associated with study of space. The first and foremost is the amount of funding required. The fact is that, space missions cost in millions which (IELTS with Ramandeep Singh) means state has to allocate a substantial budget for this. As a result, governments have to compromise with the urgent needs of this planet. For instance, country like India spends around 2 billion dollars on such researches and where 30% of the population lives below poverty line and is deprived of fundamental, such investment seems completely unreasonable. Scientist have been trying to find life in the outer space for decades and till date there has been no major breakthrough despite spending worth billions.
To conclude, I would like to restate although it is valid to criticise space exploration for different reasons yet it must continue to ensure the survival of human race on planet earth for longer time.
