Well, I really enjoy reading, it is the best thing for me to do in my free time and I often read books on my friends recommendation, and recently I read the book “2 states”. It is actually a novel written by a famous author of India “Chetan Bhagat’. I actually borrowed it from my friend to read. I thought it will take me a long time, but it was so interesting that I read the entire book just in 4 to 5days. I really liked the theme of this novel which is actually inter-caste marriage. It is a prominent social issue in my country. The story goes like this. A boy and a girl, who are studying at IIT, fall in love with each other. Now they want to get married but as usual the Indian mentality; parents are against their marriage because they are from different states of India. The boy is from Delhi and the girl is from south. Parents don’t agree as they have different cultures, different religions and traditions, but instead of going against their parents wish they try to win their heart with love and affection. By the end of the novel their parents accept them and they get married. So what I like is the easy language used by the author and there is a lot of humour because Chetan bhagat is a writer with a good sense of humour. So, it was quite interesting to read the novel. I had a lot of fun reading this. Since this novel is in English language, it really helped me to improve my language as well. In fact, a movie 2 states was also produced inspired by this novel and I also watched that movie. Overall it is a fantastic book and I definitely suggest others to read 2 State along with other books of Chetan Bhagat.
